Laptop Tables - HELP!?
i'm frantically searching for a stable laptop desk with adjustable height and preferably without wheels. can anyone direct me to some quality tables? i don't want anything flimsy!! please help!
how can I build a stand-up desk?
I like to work while I'm standing. I've only seen either very expensive adjustable height desks (like $1000!) I just want a very high table top, around 50-inches. I'll mount the 22' monitor on the wall behind it.
The simplest choice would be a drafting table. The height and angle is adjustable. See More
What is the most ergonomic set-up?
I use a PC allot and I find I get a sore bum. I have tried different chairs but none have done the job good enough. I have been getting through it by alternating my chairs, so they hurt different parts of the bum. So I have a few options. Lay on bed & have monitors coming from the roof Buy some fancy reclined computing chair and table. Buy a height adjustable desk so that I could stand for say 25% of the time. Have people had this issue and ventured down one of these paths? Which options should I chose? I am leaning towards height adjustable desk seems cheaper and easier. Any places to recommend? Under a grand would be ideal but seems unlikely. I guess it is muscle

Adjustable Height Stand for Imac?
Hi, I have the new 21.5" imac I purchased 2 months ago. The imacs come with a stand that can only adjust in terms of tilt, but not height. I am looking for stand that is compatible with Imac monitors that allows you to adjust the height - I am looking to bring it down lower than the current position b/c I am short. I know that there are many adjustable monitor stands out there, but please only answer if you know of one that works with mac- the attachment bracket is totally different than the PC monitors. (and please note that I am NOT looking for wall mounts. my imac is on my desk) Thanks!
here are some but they are pretty expensive maybe you could just sit on a cushion See More
Thats why its a Mac and not a PC XD Remember; you buy what uncle Steve sells you and you don't complain. See More
Where to find a thin height adjustable computer desk?
I just moved to a new place. I have a secondary computer that I rarely use but would like to keep in the living room and use my stool as a swivel chair. I need a computer desk that can adjust the height for the stool. I want it to be simple, thin, height adjustable, with a pull out drawer for a keyboard and the top desk for the monitor and mouse. Anyone know where I can find a thin height adjustable computer desk for less than $100?

IKEA has a cool one for $119. Just save up for a few more months and get what you really want. See More
Does anyone know where I can get a height adjustable desk?
I have a back problem that causes me to need to stand, sit, stand, etc a lot throughout the day, and need to find a desk I can raise and lower. I've only found ones for people who are disabled and those seem to be too big (so they can fit a wheelchair, which I don't need) and to be very expensive. I just need one wide enough for a laptop and whatever papers I'm working with. I'm in the London area, so somewhere near there or via the internet is preferable. Thank you! Thanks for the quick answers. Stevie t, couldn't find any adjustable desks on that site. Chancer, what's a poofie? And rykker, I tried Ikea's only adjustable desk and it wouldn't hold my laptop steady. Thanks for the help, anyway! Thanks for the info regarding the chairs. I won't go into details, but I don't need a chair, I need a desk that can be altered. No wall for the shelves, but a brilliant idea. Thanks, everyone.

How to build a height adjustable sit/stand computer desk?
I am looking at building myself a computer desk that has some sort of mechanism that allows me to adjust it's height so that I can either sit or stand while working on my PC. I am looking for a solution which allows me to adjust the desk without having to move pins around or have two people involved in the process. In terms of alternatives to adjust the height, the ones I came up with are either a gas lift or a pulley mechanism. I can't find either of these parts online that I could mount on a desk. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get started with this project? Has anyone out there made one like this already and can share the plans? Here are some examples of what I am looking at to give a better explanation: http://www.carrmclean.ca/CategoryGroupBrowser.aspx?CategoryID=418&GroupNo=3543 http://www.auzspec.com.au/index.php?doc187950009

Why not get a 'drafting' chair? These chairs will adjust in height to let you sit comfortably sit at your higher desk. See More
