Is there a way to simulate an IE browsing session to a particular URL on multiple workstations at on
600-700 to be exact. All workstations must be windows XP. Our goal is to load test our network by having 600-700 workstations connect to a test streaming media source at the same time. We need to replicate opening the browser, and navigating to the URL to pull the content.

Why not use the same tools that Microsoft uses? You might look here for information:

Yes. There is. Oh you wanted the way to do it? You should have said so. You just run the programs remotely. Start>All Programs>System Tools>Task Scheduler

Set a homepage for all of the browsers, and set the browser to open at a scheduled time, once, and only once. And then that will properly simulate normal network traffic.
